For someone you've actually met (in person, via email, etc.): share this QR or its URL and they can scan it to follow you with one click. Useful for getting future-event invites set up without their phone scanning the walk-in QR today.
Send invitations to players who follow me (they explicitly opted in to receive invites from me). They'll see the invite on their Manifold /me page; followers who also opted into email get an email too.
One-click add me (the TD) to this tournament's roster. Skip if I'm also the chief arbiter on a CFC-rated event — the system will warn but won't block.
One workflow for every desk-side registration: collect their entry fee, then generate a QR code for them to scan. Works whether they already have a Manifold account or not — if they do, the claim page offers them "sign in with existing" instead of creating a duplicate.

QR is valid for 24 hours. Generate a new one if the player doesn't complete the claim in time.
Point a phone at a board and it streams frames for the live relay (see docs/OTB_LIVE_RELAY.md). One camera per physical board: create it here, have the phone scan the QR, tap Start on the page that opens. Revoke a camera if the phone goes missing — the link dies instantly, and all links die when the tournament completes.

The board must be EMPTY for the corner taps — the relay memorises each square's bare appearance (gloss, creases and all). Afterwards, set up the starting position and it arms itself. This is the camera's live view — the phone stays on its mount.
Choose the rules for this tournament. Selections are rendered into a clean rules paragraph that prints verbatim on each player's sign-up sheet. Defaults are FIDE-standard.
Print these BEFORE the event and keep them in your paper folder. Use only if the phone / network / software all fail. The runbook teaches you how to pair by hand using the cards.
Live computed plan based on currently-registered paid players. Updates as people register. Lock plan freezes the format, round count, schedule, and prize distribution into the tournament — required before the first round can be paired.
End-bound tournaments float the start time. Set the end cap + a time-control ladder (richest first); as the clock advances the panel below shows the largest plan that still ends before the cap. Auto-refreshes every 60 s. Leave the cap empty for legacy start-bound mode.

Set the prize amounts for each position (1st, 2nd, etc.). Players' tiebreak preferences are applied automatically when you preview the distribution after the final round.

The floater takes a half-point bye when there's an even number of other players and is paired when the count is odd — so nobody ever gets a bye. At most one floater per event. If the current floater leaves, withdraw them to free the slot for a replacement.
